Delta Meta-Type

The delta meta-type processes carbohydrates and fats at a higher-than-average rate, but is less efficient with proteins. Therefore, the ideal diet for someone with the delta meta-type should include carbohydrate-rich foods like potatoes, noodles, and rice. This metabolic type effectively handles these foods, meaning that carbohydrates are converted to body fat during digestion to a lesser extent than protein-rich foods. Additionally, the fats ingested are stored less readily as body fat in individuals with the delta meta-type. For those with this meta-type, a moderate to significant reduction in energy intake is beneficial for weight loss. Unlike other meta types, the delta meta-type

should focus more on the quantity of energy consumed rather than the diet's composition. While it's advisable to limit protein intake to no more than 25% of total energy, proteins should not be entirely eliminated.

Since the delta meta-type converts dietary fat into body fat at a lower rate than average, there is no need for drastic reductions in fat-containing foods. However, a substantial increase in fat intake should be avoided due to potential health risks, such as high cholesterol levels.
